Choose the conditioner from the sensor output first. A charge amplifier converts a high-impedance charge signal; an IEPE conditioner supplies constant current and separates the dynamic signal from its bias.
100–100,000 pC input-range requests · ±10 V / 0–10 V / 4–20 mA options. Selection envelope; confirm the exact model.
Concept geometry. Request confirmed dimensions and interfaces.
Before selecting QPF-AMP
Check force, mounting and signal limits together
Charge input
Set pC/N sensitivity and polarity, input charge range, reset sequence, drift and time constant. Keep connectors clean and dry; use a qualified low-noise cable. A 100,000 pC input cannot cover every large-force configuration: at an assumed 4.3 pC/N and 400 kN, the signal is 1,720,000 pC. Request sufficient input range and headroom.
IEPE input
Check current, compliance voltage, bias monitoring, coupling and output range. An ordinary charge input is not an IEPE power source.
PLC integration
24 VDC DIN-rail, Reset/Measure, peak hold and analog outputs are requested configuration options. Confirm pinout, update rate, reset settling, scaling and isolation.
Fast peak vs slow control
A PLC analog input or 4–20 mA output may not reproduce the impact waveform. Confirm peak capture bandwidth or use a suitable fast DAQ alongside the process output.
Release the measurement chain with evidence
Request a configuration-specific drawing and calibration record. Confirm rated load, direction, preload, sensitivity, polarity, flat response band, thermal range and overload limits. Discuss the required acceptance test before freezing the order.
Piezoelectric force measurement decays with system leakage and time constant. Share the cycle and allowed drift; for continuous dead-weight measurement use a suitable static sensing method.
Can I use an existing cable and conditioner?
Yes, if the full chain is verified for the chosen output, sensitivity, current or charge input, signal range, bandwidth, cable construction and connector. QPF accessory choices are optional.
Engineering RFQ / QPF-AMP
Describe the event. We’ll review the chain.
Include the peak force and pulse duration, your mounting space and existing DAQ. For replacements, add the complete original model and sensitivity.
Request a configuration quote, CAD availability and the calibration documentation you need.
No checkout or automatic purchase. Accessory amounts are optional planning references; dimensions, compatibility, price and delivery require confirmation.
