Kistler, PCB & Dytran Force Sensor Replacement Review

Identify a QPF family for technical review against your existing force sensor. The table is a starting point for comparison, not a verified 1:1 replacement list.

Prepare your engineering brief

Peak force · pulse duration · mounting envelope · signal output · existing DAQ · quantity

Kistler 9301B / 9311B / 9323A / 9341B; PCB 221BQPF-LNKTension rating, full envelope, interface geometry, preload assembly and calibrated output.
PCB 200C20; Dytran 1060VQPF-IMPPulse width, required bandwidth, contact interface, overrange and fixture resonance.
Kistler 5073A / 5015A / 5074A; PCB 482CQPF-AMPInput type, charge/current limits, reset/control, time constant, output and pinout.

A 10-32 connector does not prove signal compatibility

Connector threads, mechanical mounting threads and output electronics are separate interfaces. Confirm full original suffix and unit system; do not infer polarity or excitation from connector appearance. Provide your original drawing and calibration record for a written comparison.

PCB 260A is a three-component sensor family and is outside this uniaxial candidate table. Kistler 9323A is identified as a press force sensor in its manufacturer datasheet; full suffixes still require review.

Request the acceptance evidence you need

Specify sensitivity tolerance, linearity, installed calibration, bandwidth, temperature, overload margin, calibration uncertainty and required documentation. Agree on the acceptance plan with the quotation. No original-brand approval or universal drop-in claim is made.
